I tried my best to provide you with more than just a glimpse
of MEDIEVAL GERMANY!
- Gelnhausen, called „Barbarosastadt“ (King Barbarossa
founded the city in 1170) lies approx. 40km east of Frankfurt and has
an ALTSTADT (old town) which was fortunately not destroyed during
second world war.
We are staying in MOTEL A66 outside of the city.
- The Wildberghof in Ulsenheim is the small castle of a
former nobel family (and is owned now by the family of „Two Jugs“ from
Madrid H3). Ulsenheim is not far from the charming town of ROTHENBURG
ob der Tauber.
It is a touristic must!
- We continue to Hannoversch Münden where the small rivers
Werra and Fulda form the WESER.
This city boasts itself with the fact that they have 700 FACHWERKHÄUSER
(half-timbered houses).
Here we stay in a 3star SPORTSHOTEL.
- The next overnight stay is in Soltau at HOTEL MEYN right
in the center of the small town.
In nearby SCHNEVERDINGEN a surprise is waiting for us!
- On the next day we stop for a walk in CELLE (over 400
old houses) before we continue to Amsterdam
(where we might stay in the HOTEL IBIS) and can participate in the
CANAL HASH (sep. REGO nescessary).
In total : 6 nights (accomm. plus breakfast), 6 dinner, 5
HASH (plus CANAL HASH), plenty of amazing architecture etc
